Gianluca Belli designed the new Albatros collection for Rubinetterie Treemme.
The name “Albatros” evokes meaningful imagery of freedom, majesty and weightlessness. These concepts, combined with the element of air, inspired the designer during the creation of this collection. Indeed, the albatross is a symbol of wide open spaces and elegance in motion, characteristics that are reflected in the form and functionality of the taps in this collection.
“Albatros was born instinctively, from pure design, in a search to give water a body, which offers itself by moving toward the user, who has only to allow themselves to touch it”, states Gianluca Belli. This statement highlights the designer’s unique approach in forging a harmonious connection between man and water.
The new Albatros series by Rubinetterie Treemme is made of brass and stands out with its sculptural and fluid forms that portray dynamism and vitality. The collection is the perfect example of contemporary elegance with clean, minimal lines that grant a feeling of weightlessness and simplicity to the design. A distinctive element is the use of a flat 22-millimetre cartridge, which contributes to the overall weightlessness of the tap.
Beyond its polished design, Albatros also stands out for its functionality. The particular angle of the tap was designed with the intention of keeping the handle above the basin of the sink, to avoid water dripping onto the countertop when turned off with wet hands.
Albatros is available in all the finishes on offer in the catalogue for Rubinetterie Treemme’s brass collections.
