*Şişecam SolarMax is Şişecam Flat Glass’ low iron, patterned, tempered glass used in photovoltaic modules. It plays a critical role in solar energy generation by protecting internal components from environmental factors while maximizing module efficiency through its high light transmittance and low reflectivity.
*Produced in Sandy and Prism patterns, Şişecam SolarMax reduces the reflection on the glass surface due to their patterned structure, providing maximum efficiency in the performance of solar panels with high light transmittance and low reflection values.
*Light reflection can be minimized by applying a specialized Anti-Reflective (AR) coating on the glass surfaces. AR coating increases the light transmittance of glass by approximately 2%, improving solar panel performance and efficiency.
*Low iron, tempered, AR-coated patterned glass used in solar panels is produced from 2 mm to 4 mm thickness, with Sandy and Prism patterns.
*The light transmittance coefficients of Şişecam SolarMax are tested and certified at the Solar Energy Technologies Institute (SPF: Solartechnik Prüfung Forschung) in Switzerland.
*Şişecam SolarMax is manufactured in accordance with:
EN 12150 - 1 “Glass in Building - Thermally Toughened Soda Lime Silicate Glass - Part 1: Definition & Description”
EN 572 - 5 “Basic Soda - Lim e Silicate Glass Product for Use in Building-Patterned Glass”
