Production Method
Patterned glass is produced by passing molten glass between two metal rollers, one of which carries the pattern. The roller process defines thickness and surface texture; pattern depth and texture determine light and image transmittance. The glass is compatible with common downstream processing: edge finishing, lamination, tempering, bending and insulating glass unit assembly. During lamination the patterned surface should face outwards. Where safety is required the glass must be used in tempered or laminated form.
