SMC2 has once again demonstrated its expertise in textile architecture with the creation of this 405m² textile façade for a commercial sign in Brignais in France.
With a steel frame and a textile membrane facade, this over-façade brings an aestheticism to the shop front. The sign’s logo was silk-screened in the centre of the façade so that it could be seen from the road in daylight. After dark, the LED lighting gives the façade a beautiful colourful appearance.
The white colour of the stretched fabric reflects the sun’s rays and thus helps to combat global warming.
