Description

Overview
The SL-1210GME is the Master Edition of the SL-1200/1210 Grand Class series: a limited-production direct-drive turntable engineered for professional and high-end installation use. Available in a limited black run (SL-1210GME) and a silver counterpart (SL-1200GME). Production units are individually numbered.

Master Edition design
  • Gold-painted embossed logo and serial-number plate identifying the limited edition.
  • Magnesium tonearm with gold finish for reduced mass and consistent geometry.
  • Two colour variants: Silver (SL-1200GME) and Black (SL-1210GME).

Drive technology
  • Coreless direct-drive brushless DC motor with twin-rotor construction to eliminate cogging, maintain high torque and reduce bearing load and micro-vibrations.
  • Upgraded ΔΣ-Drive (Delta Sigma Drive): PWM carrier frequency raised from ~2 kHz to >20 kHz to reduce audible motor noise and suppress micro-vibrations for improved audio fidelity.

Vibration resistance & mechanical design
  • Three-layer turntable platter combining brass and aluminium die-cast with a damping rubber sheet on the rear surface; diameter 332 mm; platter weight approx. 3.6 kg (including rubber).
  • Four-layer cabinet construction including a 10 mm hairline-processed aluminium top panel, aluminium die-cast, BMC and heavyweight rubber to increase rigidity and reduce resonance.
  • Factory high-precision balance adjustment: each unit is fine-balanced and labeled "BALANCED" after adjustment.
  • New zinc insulator using αGEL™ gelatinous material for shock absorption and vibration damping to minimise feedback.

Tonearm
The static-balance tonearm is made of cold-drawn magnesium for low mass and high stiffness. Gimbal suspension and high-precision bearings deliver high initial-motion sensitivity and accurate tracking across the record surface.

Circuit & power
  • Multi-Stage Silent Power Supply: low-noise switching circuit combined with an active noise-canceling circuit.
  • High-frequency switching power supply (>100 kHz) for stable output and low ripple; noise detection plus inverse-current cancellation reduces residual noise.
  • Four-layer PCB layout separating power and ground lines for motor, digital and LED circuits to improve board rigidity and reduce interference.

Packaging
Eco-conscious packaging replaces styrene foam with corrugated cardboard cushioning, reducing plastic use by approximately 70% compared with prior packaging while maintaining protection for the heavy unit; accessories are consolidated in a single box for logistics efficiency.
