The HVLP method
The turbine uses the High Volume Low Pressure (HVLP) painting method. The unit generates a large volume of hot, low-pressure air that facilitates paint drying and adhesion while reducing mist and overspray compared with compressed-air systems. Relative humidity of the sprayed air is reduced substantially (up to ~40%), minimizing condensation of water and oil. The reduced atomization results in paint savings of approximately 20–40% and lower pollutant dispersion, improving working conditions for operators.
