The ‘Abisko' seating family builds on a rounded silhouette and a soft volume that is cut sharp on the four sides.
The concept provides not only a unique expression but also a smaller footprint and favours repeated elements and furnishing along walls, facilitating the planning of environments such as offices, hotels and public areas. The visible wooden frame is a detail that allows endless combinations of upholstery fabrics and finishes without compromising the design integrity.
The power of a simple shape
The same one as the door of Lapland: Abisko, hence the name of this new family of chairs, sofas and daybeds designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune. From the name of an immense natural park to the name of an object on a human scale: they share the same colors, passion for natural shapes and knowledge of materials.
Internal structure in multilayer wood, polyurethane foam padding; external structure in solid wood and frame with 4 varnished steel legs.
