Farfalla is an upholstered designer chair by Folco Orlandini for True Design, a contemporary reinterpretation of the 1974 Le Farfalle project by Roberto Lucci and Paolo Orlandini. Designed for lounge, contract, hybrid workspaces and waiting areas; produced in Italy.
Design and use- Contemporary restatement of the 1974 original with a more slender silhouette and stage presence.
- Functions as an autonomous seat individually and composes organic, dynamic layouts in groups; suited to lounge, contract and reception settings.
Materials and construction- Painted metal frame (tubular steel supporting structure).
- Seat padding in cold-foamed polyurethane with a thick, soft, shape-retaining cushion.
- Fabric-covered support bands with ABS core inserted into the supporting structure.
- Fully customizable upholstery; available in a selection of Gabriel fabrics.
- Polypropylene feet with adhesive felts for floor protection.
