Essence is a family of wood furnishings (tables, benches, coffee tables and storage furniture) designed by Norm Architects, inspired by the material logic and joinery of wood. The collection features sober, linear forms that reveal their identity up close through precision joinery and perpendicular intersecting lines that form the collection's signature detail.

Designer / Concept
The interlocking design of table, bench and stool is the distinguishing element: a functional system based on precise perpendicular intersections and refined joinery that are both visual and tactile. The collection balances a clean, rational appearance with an emphasis on material expression and structural clarity.

Materials and functional details
The family is composed of pieces with structure and tops in veneered plywood (available in oak or walnut veneer). The design integrates discreet cable management for electrified tables: a pathway through the top into the steel table structure with removable covers to conceal power modules and cables while keeping them accessible.
