Description
The characterful Upon chair by Sylvain Willenz comes down to one clever detail. As if by magic, the backrest sits on its contrasting metal frame with no fixings, but a hidden internal joint.
This efficient piece of engineering makes the multi-functional chair well suited to stacking, but visually effortless too. Upon’s form-pressed veneer backrest tapers out to just a 6mm edge, combining minimal looks, comfort and strength.
Together, Zilio A&C and Sylvain Willenz have created a pure and expressive design that can adapt to all settings: the home, office, or café. Upon can be adapted to have an upholstered seat for further comfort, and an armchair version is in development.
