Outdoor lighting poles and bollards from our own aluminium foundry — Istanbul, since 1999.

Artay casts its own aluminium, in its own foundry. Since 1999 the die-casting plant in Başakşehir, Istanbul has produced the pole bases, arms and luminaire housings that go into Artay's outdoor lighting, and the range is exported to more than 33 countries.

The programme covers decorative and urban lighting columns up to 12 metres, garden and urban bollards from 30 to 120 cm, and LED luminaires for streets, car parks, service-station canopies and facades. Column bodies are aluminium — extruded profile is bought in, as it is across most of this market, while cast components are made in-house — or hot-dip galvanised steel where the project calls for it. Bollards are aluminium with chromate pretreatment and electrostatic powder coating, in any RAL colour, rated IP66. The Aethel series takes its wood appearance from the surface finish; the body is aluminium extrusion, not timber. We do not make high-mast columns.

Custom work is the normal case here, not the exception. Changing a height, diameter, wall thickness, arm length, door position or RAL colour needs no new mould and carries no minimum order. A new form does: tooling costs 4,000–50,000 USD depending on part size, with 1,000–2,000 pieces, 4–6 weeks to cut the mould and 3 weeks to produce — 7–9 weeks from drawing approval to first delivery. Repeat orders on an existing mould ship in 3 weeks, with no minimum and no tooling charge.

Artay holds a TSE certificate under TS EN 40 for lighting columns and an ISO 9001 certificate for quality management, and the products carry CE marking. Columns are designed to EN 40-6 (aluminium) and EN 40-5 (steel); road luminaires to EN 60598-2-3.

We publish the numbers most suppliers keep for the quotation stage. Mould cost, minimum order, lead time and the greatest height we can build are on this page because a specifier needs them before the project is drawn, not after.

We say what we do not make. No high-mast columns, and nothing above 12 metres. Extruded profile we buy in, as most of this market does; what we make ourselves is the die-cast aluminium, in our own foundry in Istanbul, since 1999.

We name materials as they are. Our bollards are aluminium, not galvanised steel. The Aethel series looks like timber because of the surface finish — the body is aluminium extrusion, so it does not rot on a seafront and asks for no annual maintenance.

We keep our moulds. A part ordered years ago can be produced again from the existing tool, in 3 weeks, with no minimum quantity and no tooling charge.
