Borvo
About Us
BORVO is a French company that designs modular oases: urban furniture designed to cool, green, and enhance the quality of public and hospitality spaces. Our systems combine functional greening, local water management, and on-board energy with a simple goal: to create a visible, comfortable, and usable resting spot, which can then be expanded through a network if usage justifies it.
The BORVO range consists of modules that can be combined depending on the site, season, and use. Our installations are designed for urban, historic, and sometimes constrained sites, featuring rapid deployment and a reversible approach, without systematically requiring major construction work or complex connections.
Beyond the product itself, BORVO supports projects with a results-oriented approach: understanding usage, defining operational parameters, and then documenting the impact when necessary (pre-deployment assessment, monitoring, proof of impact, multi-site replication).
Municipalities, ports, train stations, tourist sites, and event organizers deploy BORVO to improve thermal comfort and user well-being by creating more pleasant and comfortable break areas during hot weather.
Our values
At BORVO, simplicity is key. We strive to achieve the most noticeable results with the least amount of complexity: plants that thrive, water that’s truly useful, and energy tailored to practical needs. This demand for simplicity goes hand in hand with operational reliability: a solution is only valuable if it is easy to use on a daily basis, with simple access, realistic maintenance, and a clear understanding of seasonal variations.
We design for use, not by piling on features. Our approach is rooted in impact-driven design: a clear intention, simple indicators for decision-making, and continuous improvement. Autonomy, modularity, and reversibility are at the heart of this approach, as they enable rapid deployment, flexible configuration, and gradual expansion without tying a site down with major construction work.
Finally, we advocate for furniture with a lasting impact: scalable modules that are easy to use and built to last, with transparency regarding their limitations and conditions of use. Our goal is to enable concrete climate adaptation that is measurable when necessary and, above all, useful in everyday life.
