Emmegi S.p.A. is an Italian company with a strong international outlook, founded in 1990 under the name Meridionale Grigliati Srl. In 2011, following a corporate change, it became La Nuova Meridionale Grigliati Srl, and later, in 2015, transformed into a S.p.A. (joint-stock company). Specialized in the industrial production of fences, gratings, and gates, the company has expanded over the years thanks to a commercial network in all Italy and the acquisition of an operational unit that strategically supports the company: Emmegi Cortenuova, operational branch in Bergamo. All of them, share a single focus: a commitment to offering high-quality solutions based on expertise, reliability, and innovation.

Our team consists of 87 employees, including 30 office staff and 57 production workers, evenly divided between senior and junior professionals.

They are highly qualified, with cross-disciplinary skills, and share a strong drive for performance. We believe in the value of human capital and invest constantly in training and development to ensure a stimulating work environment focused on growth — for both established professionals and the future managers of our company.

The headquarters in Gioia del Colle covers an area of approximately 45,000 m², including over 10,000 m² of covered space (two operational warehouses and one under construction) and more than 34,000 m² of uncovered area. The Bergamo branch covers around 2,000 m², with roughly 1,000 m² covered (one warehouse) and 1,000 m² uncovered.

Emmegi S.p.A. operates five production plants specializing in the manufacture of electro-forged grating,three semi-finished cutting plants,three panel edging machines, one robotic edging station for fencing, and one plant dedicated to post production. Our production chain offers a wide range of products and services across different areas of specialization:

● Fences: Commonly seen as elements of protection and safety for public and private spaces, for Emmegi S.p.A. they also represent aesthetic components capable of enhancing architecture and landscape, harmoniously integrating with their surroundings. Our fences combine functionality and design thanks to their modular structure, easy installation, and material strength — ensuring long-lasting, timeless solutions.

● Gratings: We manufacture a wide range of electro-welded gratings — pedestrian or vehicle-bearing, horizontal or vertical — for the construction and industrial sectors. Emmegi S.p.A. is proud to have been the first Italian company able to supply CE-marked metallic gratings, adopting the quality standards required by EN 1090 for manufacturers of steel structural components, in compliance with EU Regulation No. 305/2011 (Construction Products Regulation - CPR).

● Gates: These products are also made with CE-marked electro-welded grating, accompanied by the corresponding certification that applies to all our gratings (factory production control conformity certificate for structural components and steel structure kits). Our gates combine design and aesthetics while maintaining focus on safety and practicality.

Emmegi S.p.A. is committed to reducing its environmental impact through recycling, waste reduction, and sustainable practices such as:

● Use of renewable energy: We have a photovoltaic system exceeding 1 GVA, allowing us to be energy self-sufficient in daily production. 80% of the self-produced electricity is used internally, while the remaining 20% is fed into the national power grid.

● Waste reduction and resource optimization: Careful management of energy and material resources, recycling of production scraps, and the use of water dispensers to avoid plastic bottles.

● Promotion of local social and cultural initiatives: Partnerships with local organizations that raise awareness — especially among school children — about the responsible use of non-renewable resources.

○ Case history – Sponsorship of the “Progetto del Cuore”: We brought large water purifiers to schoolsin Gioia del Colle, along with personalized water bottlesfeaturing the Emmegi logo, to educate and encourage younger generationsto avoid waste.
