As a confirmation of its utmost quality, the most famous IT Company in the United States has entrusted Estel with its mostimportant project to date –on which Estel has been working in Cupertino for over five years.

Quality, innovation, but also extraordinary care in the design process: Cini Boeri, Oscar Niemeyer, Jorge Pensi, Karim Rashid, Ross Lovegrove, Patrick Norguet, Ora Ito, and Enzo Mari are just some of the internationally-renowned designers who worked with Estel over the years.

Always up-to-date with the new trends and requests of the marketand with the contemporary workplace transformation afoot, in 2015 Estel developed a new approach to workspace planning, resulting in the “Italian Smart Office” concept, whose key idea - the interconnection of every element, belonging to five different areas - answers all needs for the realization of a highly modern, functional and engaging workplace.

This vision finds its roots in the Activity-Based Working (ABW) theory, which sees the office as a series of "activity settings": people perform different activities in their work day, and therefore need a variety of work settings supported by the right technology and culture. Not only fixed settings with standard desks, but multiple opportunities to choose a place in the office where it is most suitable for them to complete their work tasks. Enablingeach person to organize their work activities in a productive and enjoyable way that best suits what they need to do, and who they need to do it with, the “Italian Smart Office” creates newopportunities of interaction and communication, and a culture of connection, inspiration and accountability, in which every teamachieves the best outcome.

Partially or totally enclosed spaces for the operational areas of the company, where standards activities take place.

Executive spaces and areas for shared activities like formal meetings or operational briefings.

Sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, chairs, all the elements to ensure the wellbeing and comfort of each single person and the whole office community.

Areas designed to relax and take a break, be it for a quick snack, lunch or an informal meeting over a cup of coffee.

Separating and sound absorbing elements which improve acoustic comfort and reduce noise in office environments.

“The ”Italian Smart Office” represents a key turning point for the Company; from a traditional approach, focused on product design, we move towards an Environmental Design, where the know-how of home decor joins the technology and ergonomics of office furniture planning, inorder to meet the new needs and taste of modern workplaces”.
