Who are we?
Every design decision begins with an understanding of how something is made. Since 1986, Factory Furniture has believed that exceptional public furniture is born from the union of design and manufacturing. Simplicity, function and durability have always been the principles that guide our work, shaped by a deep understanding of materials, craftsmanship and industrial production. By designing through making, we create furniture that is not only beautiful and enduring, but an integral part of the architecture of place—enhancing how people experience, inhabit and connect with the public realm.
Our values
All timber stocks currently bought for Factory Furniture products come from FSC® certified forests. They are covered by a valid Chain of Custody (COC) certificate.
We’ve been sourcing hardwoods from FSC® stocks for our products since 1998. In 2008 we made the decision, going forward, to source all our timber that way and for the last 11 years we have sourced all of our timber from FSC® 100% stocks.
