Johann Nerlinger is a European architect, interior designer, and lighting designer – and the creator of the lighting objects of LUMINARE.

Since the early 1990s, he has been designing architectural spaces, developing interior concepts, and creating lighting objects and lighting systems for residential environments, retail spaces, hotels, conference centers, and a wide variety of architectural projects.

His work is rooted in an intensive exploration of space, light, and shadow.

It is driven by fundamental questions:

How is architecture experienced?

How does light transform a space?

How is atmosphere created?

How do materials, forms, and light interact with one another?
