Molinari leaves nothing to chance in its artisanal production. We select the leather to test durability, resistance to wear, stretch, reactivity to light and long-lasting colour, to ensure the leather has a uniform appearance and thickness. That’s why there is no risk that it will tear because it is too thin, or lack softness because it is too thick. Then the direction of cut is identified to obtain the highest yield with the minimum waste. Finally it’s the turn of the chisel, hammer, cutter, needle and thread. As the Haute Couture fashion houses have taught us, it’s impossible to achieve the same results using machines. Even the most sophisticated equipment is unable to reproduce some details without creating creases and marks. Molinari’s artisanal production embodies this emphasis on human skills.

The Molinari Company was founded in Tione di Trento in the 1980s, when Giorgio Molinari established a company that conceived, designed and built quality leather sofas. Today the company is guided by the son Massimo.
