Objets Publics

Who we are

We are Public Objects.

Creativity + industry.

Designer Franck Magné created Public Objects with the ambition to offer innovative and unique furniture for shared spaces on a human scale. The public space is changing like never before, we are observing the evolution of behavior and offering adapted solutions. We scrupulously select industrial partners with recognized know-how for quality objects.

Durable design.

Because the production of objects is never neutral, we take care to minimize our impact on the planet. Attentive to the life cycle of our objects We have chosen steel, a sustainable material, 100% recyclable, it is the most recycled material in the world. 80 to 90% of the steel produced is still in use today. Our designs aim to optimize the cutting of the material from the design of the furniture in order to limit the production of waste. Screwed assemblies are now favored in order to allow selective replacement of damaged parts and thus fight against obsolescence and reduce the impact of transport. Our furniture is treated against corrosion and powder coated for durability and chemical-free maintenance. We offer connected public bins that make it possible to optimize the collection route for trucks and thus reduce pollution and nuisances.

Did you say innovation?

How to beautify public places, give soul to the objects that make up public and semi-public places, meet needs and uses, how to allow the appropriation of furniture because it has been designed to correspond to expectations of its users, how to bring well-being and better living to its city? We offer furniture that adapts to its environment, does not impose a directive configuration but on the contrary leaves complete freedom in an appropriate arrangement. Our vision of a public space that rediscovers the human scale and gives back its place to contemplation has united us in the service of Public Objects.

French, local and shared: where is your money going?

The choice of processes used in our objects allows manufacturing in France. Not in the France of the majors and large metropolises, these processes are mastered by SMEs, locally, some heirs of centuries-old know-how. The industrial partners who shape our furniture are selected for the quality of their work, their listening skills and also because we appreciate each other. Objets Publics also develops products with workers' cooperative societies for a new approach that makes sense to equip shared spaces and public places. Our transport partners and installers are French companies also for a reactive ecosystem.

Our values

We believe in ...

Public objects militates for an open vision of a city in full mutation, a city whose spaces are adapted to pedestrians and to soft modes of transport to leave more room for contemplation, aesthetics, elegance and above all to emotion. We believe...

... to a contextual design.

Furniture by becoming urban becomes immobile, linked to a place like architecture. Our furniture is available in polished stainless steel. These finishes offer reflections of the environment and its colors, thus helping to establish a visual dialogue between the furniture and the location. Our collections are conceived as Meccano to be composed according to the places and uses, each urban show provides a contextual response, in the image of the architecture that it accompanies.

... that furniture must accompany new public uses.

Public space is changing like never before. We observe changes in behavior and offer suitable solutions. Lunches outside, consulting private messages on their phone, practicing sport in the city, are developing and are still experiencing brakes in terms of comfort, equipment or psychology. Objets Publics develops tables and shelves for meals and work, intimate alcoves that offer visual protection, coat racks, protection against rain and umbrellas, sports equipment visually compatible with the city.

... that singular furniture marks a place.

We believe in the emotion of surprise, in the freshness of a different design, in furniture that marks a place like the red telephone booth instantly evokes London. All of our collections are available in a multitude of colors and aspects, we develop tailor-made furniture in order to distinguish the spaces they equip.

... that public and semi-public places are places of sharing and emotion.

We see these places as places for meetings, exchanges, sharing, emotions, as areas where people must more than ever have their place. Integrating furniture into public space promotes this exchange, contact and gathering. Objets Publics develops comfortable furniture accessible to everyone, from children to senior citizens, designed to offer urban lounges that can be configured according to the location and audience.
