About Us
Founded in 1975, SOBOPLAC is a family business dedicated to the design and distribution of wood flooring and decking. Backed by solid expertise in woodworking and mastery of manufacturing and finishing techniques, we are committed to offering our customers parquet ranges that combine quality, innovation and style.
Based in Bordeaux, a city whose international port has long been associated with wood imports, we distribute our products through a network of dealers covering the whole of France and beyond.
Our warehousing infrastructure enables us to deliver our products quickly and efficiently.
Oak parquet is now SOBOPLAC's core business, with meticulously designed collections. As long-standing specialists in exotic woods, we offer a wide range of solid parquets such as mahogany, merbau, teak, rosewood, ipe, jatoba and cumaru, as well as worktops and decking.
Our company attaches particular importance to its sustainable development policy, favoring the use of wood from certified forests and plantations.

Our replanting program:
As timber specialists, we decided to take our commitment to sustainable development a step further.
After two years of research to select a partner NGO and a host community village in Indonesia, we launched our tree replanting program in 2018. It obeys the compensation system - we replant what we consume - i.e. 1 tree for every 6m² of terrace. We started our program with the planting of 2,000 trees in 2018.
This program also has an ecological aspect by combating soil erosion and developing the concept of agro-silviculture.
Our action has a strong economic and social impact for the host village community of Selogiri on the island of Java. We believe that this approach is meaningful for our employees, our customers and the end consumers who use our products.
After teak, we have extended our offset program to other plantation species, namely mahogany, acacia and rubberwood. In this way, we offset the entire volume of wood consumed by all these species, enabling us to increase the number of trees planted.
We are proud to have planted 30,000 trees to date. The trees planted are mainly teak, but also other species, in particular fruit trees, for the benefit of the community.
