Spectat has been designing and manufacturing dance equipment since 2001, sprung floors, barres and mats, with one clear priority: protecting dancers where standard market solutions fall short. We only build pin-supported floors, the only system that delivers genuine shock absorption, and refuse shortcuts that put dancers at risk.

Our references speak for themselves: Paris Opera, Palais Garnier, Opéra de Lyon, La Scala in Milan, Arènes de Nîmes, Chanel runway shows at the Grand Palais… For over 12 years we have been researching floor-body interaction in dance, working alongside French ministries toward a dance-specific industry standard.

At Spectat, everything starts from a simple observation: existing equipment doesn't protect dancers well enough. Since 2001, we have challenged established practices by refusing cut-rate installations, continuous underlays, mats laid on hard floors, rigid parquet, and only offering solutions that make a real difference.

We believe dance floors cannot be assessed using the same criteria as sports floors. Dance has its own demands, which is why for over 12 years we have been conducting our own scientific research on the subject, independent of ill-fitting standards. We actively work with the relevant ministries toward the creation of a dance-specific norm.

Environmental responsibility is also part of who we are: every decision, every material, every product is chosen with its impact in mind.
