Signage System | guide
HEWI has developed the new guide signage system to match the lever handle 162 system. Simple, clear, internationally understood pictographs designed by Otl Aicher are used. HEWI uses these pictographs, which are still found in visual communications, for a new, plain and simple signage system with basic square dimensions in polyamide, aluminium and stainless steel.

This product gives the option of two applications on site and is composed as follows:
Materials: 2 aluminium extrusion 2,5mm thick cut to size.
Clear or color PMMA (poly methyl met-acrylate) plate.
The 2 profil become one product by slide one into the other. assembled this way they are like a clip. The springiness is given by a laminated spring inserted in between the upper part of the 2 profils.
The back profil is fixed to the wall with 2 countersunk screws.
The font aluminium sleeve is specialy designed along the upper and lower edges to hold the PMMA plate, this forms the front face of the sign.
Finishes: anodised aluminium.
PMMA plate; top and bottom with according design to allow it to slip into the aluminium sleeve.
PMMA plate held secure by a 2mm stainless grub screw.
A secret stainless steel screw holds the front profil, making it impossible to slide away from the back profil.
The clip they form gives the possibility to slide any king of document in the lower part of the product by simply exerting a pressure with ones finger on the upper part of the product.
It is possible to completement the product with 5mm thick "U" shaped PMMA document holder that can be slided in the lower part of the product. The front face of the PMMA document holder is then flushed with the front face of the product. I can be screwed with the product or stay detachable.

This product can be used for temporary information in a visible area held by one or more 49mm or 25mm square convex holding blocks. These are cast as a single unit consisting of a square or rectangular flat backplate turned at right angles around the edge of the sign to become a visible convex square block at the front. The information can be sandwiched between a selection of plates held between the backplate and the visible front block.
Material: the holding block is cast aluminium. This block holds an anodised aluminium backplate with sand blasted edges and a safety glass front with polished chamfered edges or a PMMA (poly methyl met-acrylate) plate with polished edges to allow the insertion of paper information.
Finishes: aluminium block; natural anodised, either polished, sand blasted or brushed finish.
Information secured by grub screw in centre of the 49mm, or upper edge of the 25mm, visible aluminium front block.
