FalZinc® is an innovative material with an aluminum core covered by a layer of zinc which is fused to the aluminum using the patented Pegal process.
The rolled sheet offers innovative characteristics over the conventional titanium zinc. In fact, it offers greater processability at low temperatures and is quite light (2.7 Kg/dm3 vs. the 7.1 Kg/dm3 of titanium zinc). The glossy gray of the natural metal is modified by a special surface treatment although this does not alter the product's corrosion resistance in any way.

Copper is a metal that lasts through the millennia; it is extremely resistant to the weather and atmospheric agents and easy to work both hot and cold.
In time, the unmistakable colour of natural copper loses its elegant initial shine to take on a series of colourings: initially it generates a brownish oxide and then takes on a permanent green or greenish-blue.

QUICK STEP® - The RHEINZINK Stepped Roof
The RHEINZINK stepped roof is the clever, multi-use alternative to traditional roof covers. Innovative and high quality, this installation system is suited to roof slopes from 10° to 75°. modular, pre-finished components in RHEINZINK "pre-weathered blue-grey" and "pre-weathered graphite-grey"* facilitate exact planning and efficient assembly and provide an attractive, stepped roof surface arrangement.
Modern architecture is always on the lookout for new emphasis. Nowadays, metal roofs are an important part of this. Desire for progress has increased, even in installation technology. So, RHEINZINK has developed an industrial installation system, which provides the optimum link between design options and simple operation: QUICK STEP - the RHEINZINK stepped roof sets the standard as the modern alternative roof cover.
Protected system technology - new shapes
Precise, pre-finished profiles and co-ordinated fixing systems are the secret of QUICK STEP - the RHEINZINK stepped roof. Using profile fixers, which are fixed to the wing unit along with wedge-shaped wooden battens, the QUICK STEP is assembled "invisibly". This technically protected RHEINZINK system is an innovation in installation technology. The horizontal stepped structure of the roof profile opens the way for completely new shapes in roof architecture.

RHEINZINK® - Angled Standing Seam
In the realm of sheet metal technology, the angled standing seam is a relatively new development: it has only received mention in technical literature since the beginning of the 20th Century. For roofs with a pitch of at least 25°, it constitutes the norm. Compared to the double lock standing seam, seam closure of prefabricated sections is particularly easy, as the finished angled standing seam is created by only seaming one side. The angled standing seam is preferred in visible areas, where the pitch of metal roofing is higher, e.g. parapets, attics and mansard roofs; whether in traditional vertical, diagonal or horizontal application. Although it appears wider than the double standing seam, the angled standing seam still offers prominent vitality and quite a slender effect to the structure of large surfaces.

RHEINZINK® - Click Strip System
The strip system is the most traditional standard modern metal cover technique. With the RHEINZINK click strip system, courses and protective caps are produced ex works up to a length of 6 m, in a single process. For production of longer courses, mobile roll shapers are available on loan. The pre-shaped RHEINZINK click strip cap is also available in the standard length of 3 m. The system is suitable for roof slopes from 3° with no additional sealing-technical measures required. Increased demands make use of structured separators or weather and rain proof under covers essential.
Continuous development
For further optimisation of the RHEINZINK click strip system, three further system components have been developed: the click rail holder, finished in 1.0 mm thick galvanised steel, serves as a replacement for the previously used wooden rail and corresponding bindings and binding strips, as the holder also form the binding profile for the rail cap course and carrier. At the bottom end, the rail cap is flared to allow slight overlap of the individual caps. In conjunction with the factory pre-finished ridge and eave end profiles, assembly of the RHEINZINK click rail holder has been significantly rationalised.

Titanium Zinc is a prime quality material made of an alloy of Zinc-Copper-Titanium. It is highly resistant to corrosion and lasts in time. The components used in this alloy improve the characteristics of the zinc: titanium gives it greater resistance to permanent deformation in time; the copper increases the material's traction resistance. The natural colour of the metal is a uniform, bright, glossy grey that produces a self-protecting surface layer when exposed to the weather, thus ensuring that it remains stable in time and giving it a natural, slate-coloured, aged look which is quite attractive.

RHEINZINK® - Double Standing Seam
With respect to the material zinc, the dual standing seam counts as a development of the original wooden seam / simple standing seam. Since literature of 1899, it has been the clear preference over other systems, for rooves with a slope of under 25° (minimum slope 3° or 5%). The name "dual standing seam" is characteristic of one of the of the classic long connection types - courses installed alongside one another, outside of the water level. At a minimum seam height of 23 mm, the dual standing seam is rain proof without any additional treatment. The 25 mm high, dual standing seam produced with with pre-shaped courses has gained international acceptance. The profile is tilted and closed manually or by machine, using shaping machines. It is even possible to produce special shapes such as convex and concave curves or conical course without difficulty. The multitude of possible detail variations in the dual standing seam offers a subtle emphasis of shape and looks equally appropriate with both traditional architecture and modern designs.
