Ferrero in Luxembourg boasts a new headquarters, Casa Ferrero, honored as the 'Office Space of the Year 2021' by CBRE Luxembourg. For the auditorium (a special project by architect Paolo Maldotti from ARCHILANDstudio), the client sought an iconic, multifunctional space—flexible and comfortable—to transform a tired auditorium into a completely open area for workshops, exhibitions, and events. To fulfill this particular requirement, the project was initially designed with space-efficient chairs and an InFloorSystem for seamlessly folding the chairs beneath the floor. In addressing the need to enhance comfort and the size of the armrests incorporating a writing tablet—an element typically challenging to integrate with retractable technologies—Aresline developed an easily and quickly disassembled system. This system includes a removable armrest and writing tablet, allowing for substantial and exceptionally comfortable chairs to smoothly rotate under the floor. Consequently, the room becomes available for various other activities.
