The world is changing and so are we... Over the past century the overall height of adults has increased, making contemporary humans taller than those from the eighteenth or nineteenth century. For the last 150 years, the average height of mankind has increased about 10 centimeters. BICAchair’s design was created in the 1950’s, since then people around the world have increased in height, so we created a new version of the Lisbon chair that answers this new need, following this global growing trend. A refined version of the BICAchair, a more comfortable and elegant version of an icon, without ever losing its aesthetic or its historic nature. A new and improved piece that has the ability to adapt to all spaces with more comfort and elegance than ever. A design that maintains the same iconic lines of the BICAchair model, but now, with wider elegant lines and a new armrest angle that allows for better posture and a more comfortable seating making it a perfect addition for your home. The only thing we can say is that it is bigger, more robust, and more comfortable. The CLASSIC collection gives priority to comfort and quality. Therefore, we chose the improved version of the Original Portuguese chair in wooden slats of IPÊ (tropical wood resistant to the weather). Natural fruit-based oil is our great bet on the protection of the wood slats, allowing them to breathe throughout their lifetime while maintaining their original characteristics. - Metal Structure
