The K21 kitchen model originates from the innovative concept of the designer Norbert Wangen who, in the K series designed for Boffi, has transformed the concept of compact kitchen. The wall or peninsula/island modular base units have no handles: the door opening is guaranteed by the particular wrapping shape of front panels that hides, with close doors, the worktop thickness giving an extremely defined and monolithic appearance to the composition, highlighted by the recessed worktop with lowered portion (“basin effect”). The distinctive feature of K21 is its handle-free doors, with an upper side slightly raised compared to the kitchen top. This detail not only serves as a practical grip but also creates an enveloping and continuous surface, visually hiding the profile of the top and giving a monolithic appearance to the composition.
The front opening is allowed thanks to the upper protruding part on the worktop of the front itself.
