Modular kitchen system designed by Luigi Massoni in 1972, recognized among the masterpieces of Italian design as the first kitchen available without handle. The door opening on the base units is allowed by a shaped aluminium profile (upper handle-rail). The base units, with two or more drawers, can be fitted with a middle handle-rail or a push-opening, giving a minimalist design aspect. The tall units can be opened through vertical aluminium profile spacers on the sides. Worktops, panels and fronts are available in a wide range of finishes. Over the years this kitchen has been updated with new materials, including painted frosted glass (doors and tops) and aluminium (doors), becoming always more sophisticated and textured.
Evolution and Innovative Materials
Over the years, Xila has been enriched with new materials such as painted etched glass, aluminum and MDI – a composite of extremely pure minerals that offers resistance and a high-quality aesthetic finish. These materials not only give sophistication to the design, but also ensure sustainability and durability.
Cutting-edge solutions
The evolution of Xila includes the possibility of a tub-effect top with the Inside System Top equipped channel, compatible with various accessories. The hob can be equipped with a ladle hanger bar equipped with LED lighting and a fully retractable hob hood, enhancing functionality without compromising aesthetics.
