Description

The DANDOLO chandelier in the Rezzonico style is completely handmade according to traditional Venetian blown glass techniques. Rezzonico chandeliers are made exactly as they once were: the metal structure is forged by expert craftsmen, covered and decorated with hundreds of blown glass pieces in the voluptuous shapes of flowers, fruits and brightly coloured pendants. The Rezzonico style was born in the 1700s when a Venetian noble family commissioned a luxurious chandelier to decorate their palace on the Grand Canal (now a museum). The great skill lay in creating hundreds of tiny pieces of blown glass that were then interlocked to form the very large arms. Bottega Veneziana is an Artistic Glassworks located in Venice (Italy): we produce Venetian blown glass lamps and chandeliers. We specialise in the creation of 'made-to-measure' designs for lighting supplies and contracts, from the design to its realisation. All our chandeliers are accompanied by a Certificate of Origin and Authenticity. We ship worldwide by express courier and secure packaging, 100% insured. Chandeliers are delivered complete for installation, with assembly instructions.
