CA REZZONICO Luxury style chandelier in crystal Murano glass decorated with 24Kt gold leaf. The CHARLOTTE model chandelier is entirely handmade according to the traditional Murano blown glass manufacturing techniques. The procedure for applying the gold leaf requires a very delicate hand: it is in fact the application of very thin sheets of gold leaf on incandescent glass, which in contact with the heat shatters into very small golden specks that make the glass very bright and refined. This decoration, combined with the sumptuousness of the Rezzonico style, is a true jewel of Venetian art. The Rezzonico style was born thanks to the resourcefulness of Giuseppe Briati from Murano (1686-1772) invents the famous chandeliers with multiple crystal arms, decorated with festoons, leaves and polychrome flowers. An authentic and splendid example of it is exhibited at the Ca 'Rezzonico Museum in Venice, but the genre has continued to be re-proposed and created in infinite variations ever since.
