The VIVALDI chandelier in the Rezzonico style is made entirely by hand according to traditional Venetian blown glass techniques.
Rezzonico chandeliers are made exactly as they once were: the metal structure is forged by expert craftsmen, covered and decorated with hundreds of pieces of blown glass in the voluptuous shapes of flowers, fruits and brightly coloured pendants or in clear crystal like the VIVALDI model.
The Rezzonico style was born in the 1700s when a Venetian noble family commissioned a luxurious chandelier to furnish their palace on the Grand Canal (now a museum). The great skill lay in creating hundreds of tiny pieces of blown glass that were then interlocked to form the very large arms.
