Alloy with a reduced content of carbon, universally recognised for hygienic properties and excellent corrosion resistance, particularly suitable for outdoor environments. Thanks to its chemical composition, stainless steel does not oxidize and does not rust in contact with water and air. The natural protective film of stainless steel makes the material durable and restorable. CEA products are manufactured using mechanical processes that preserve the alloy’s intrinsic characteristics. The stainless steel used for CEA production is not chrome-plated or galvanically treated, preserving ecological, recyclable and hygienic properties.

Special finish treatments are produced on request and result from precise color selection and technological development based on high-thickness deposition of zirconium and graphite mixtures. Through vacuum evaporation (plasma) the powders transition from vapor to a condensed thin film. This process increases surface resistance to cleaning agents and salty air, improves scratch resistance and, for Black Diamond, reduces calcareous deposits thanks to a self-lubricating effect. All CEA special finishes are ecological and biocompatible.

Color and shade variations are not manufacturing defects but inherent to the process, linked to material oxygenation when exposed to air; variations are more evident in BRONZE and COPPER finishes and contribute to the product’s depth and natural appearance.

Hoses
Hose in stainless steel
The steel-fiber hose traditionally used for CEA handshowers is made of AISI 316L stainless steel, offering high mechanical strength and resistance to corrosion from external agents. The steel hose ensures perfect pressure sealing and high resistance to stresses from use.

Silicone rubber is light and flexible, widely used for hand-showers as an alternative to steel-fiber hoses. It is notable for hygiene, resistance to chemical agents and limescale, thermal resistance (−55 °C to +200 °C), oxidation and tear resistance, and long-lasting color stability even in outdoor installations.
