At the heart of the Nimm pattern chairs is the desire to capture an enlightened sense of grace within a good ergonomic form. The starting point for all of these chairs is the person - the sitter. The design originates to comfortably fit the human form. Created from wood in time honoured method and tradition, it is still the ultimate choice of a sustainably produced piece. Paramount for comfort is the back rest - primary support for the lumbar region without compressing the spinal column. The seat base then carved with a dished hollow to allow natural posture and movement. The ash wood chosen within most of the frame work of these chairs also provides the tough resilience required to stand the knocks and the test of time. The slight flexibility within these structures also of course adds greatly to the dynamic comfort when sitting in these chairs. The design can be tailored for general reading/relaxing or geometry adjusted for set up in dining use.
