Description

TECWOOL is a new fire-resistant product for soundproofing and acoustics for domestic and industrial use. Thanks to the combination of different layers TECWOOL panels achieve much higher levels of sound reduction compared to traditional materials of similar thickness. A Highly visco-elastic polyvinyl core works as a soundproofing and sound absorbing membrane. The scrim facing is made of unwoven black glass cloth which seals the core and improves its’ acoustic performance. Soundproofing panel TECWOOL is suitable for: - Installation behind plasterboard (as a substitute for traditional Rockwool insulation) above suspended ceilings, under raised floors and as a finished facing in studios, music practise rooms, voice-over booths etc. - For sound insulation on walls, it is recommended that these panels are installed within a recess formed from plasterboard (or similar structure) The advantage of mounting within a recess helps avoid damage to the panel edges in areas of high traffic. - When used above suspended ceilings, Tecwool panels should be applied directly to the gridwork suspension system. It is recommended to reinforce the suspended grid with additional hangers to prevent sagging.
