OverviewThe Pina is a portable professional double ballet barre with uprights for two wooden beams fixed at two heights: 102 cm (upper) and 79.5 cm (lower). The two wooden bars are spaced 19 cm to allow dancers of different sizes to practise simultaneously. The Pina is available with a flat base or a wheeled base for flexible studio layout.
Design and performanceThe exclusive Dinamica Ballet double upright design distributes load along the wooden bars. Laboratory elasticity tests at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia demonstrate material resistance to forces up to nearly 400 kg. Uprights clamp the beams without drilling through the wood, ensuring long life and straightforward assembly.
Bases and mobilityTwo steel base types are offered: wheeled base with high-density rubber wheels (base weight 20 kg) and flat base (base weight 10 kg). The wheeled base provides stability and easy movement by tilting the barre to 45° to roll. The flat base is lighter and can be lifted without touching the floor. Both include PVC stoppers to protect floors. Example total weights: wheeled base with 2 m bar = 52 kg; flat base with 2 m bar = 36 kg.
Materials and finishUprights and bases are made of high-quality steel with a silver epoxy finish that resists scratches. Wooden bars are Southern yellow pine from sustainable forests, sanded and left unvarnished to provide a pleasant touch, firm grip and controlled flexibility for advanced exercises.
Lengths and supportsThe Pina is available with wooden bars in 100 cm, 150 cm, 200 cm or 300 cm lengths. Larger configurations (4 m and 5 m) with three supports are also offered so several people can train on the same barre; these are available with wheeled or flat bases.
Assembly and handlingThe Pina is supplied in six elements: 2 bases, 2 uprights and 2 wooden bars. Assembly: mount uprights on bases, place wooden beams on uprights and clamp by tightening the screws on the upright plates until beams are firmly held. When moving the flat-base version lift to avoid dragging; when moving the wheeled version tilt to 45° and roll, ensuring both columns move simultaneously to avoid tension on the wooden bar.
