OverviewThe Avant is a portable professional ballet barre with a fixed height of 103 cm, designed for dance schools, studios and demanding home practice. It features a wooden beam and two steel base options (wheeled or flat) to suit mobility and floor protection requirements.
Professional stability and resistanceThe uprights’ exclusive design distributes loads along the wooden beam while the steel feet ensure stable support. Laboratory elasticity tests performed at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia show resistance to forces up to nearly 400 kg, making the Avant suitable for intensive studio use and advanced exercises.
Bases & portabilityTwo steel base types are available: a wheeled base and a flat base without wheels. The wheeled base (unit) weighs 20 kg and uses high-density rubber wheels for safe rolling when tilted 45°. The flat base (unit) weighs 10 kg and is light enough to be lifted without damaging floors. Both base types include PVC floor stoppers to prevent marks or scratches.
Wooden beamBeams are manufactured from Southern yellow pine sourced from certified sustainable forests. The wood provides a balance of strength and controlled flexibility for advanced work. Surfaces are finely sanded and left unvarnished to provide a secure grip and pleasant feel. Wooden beams are offered in multiple lengths and the standard diameter is Ø 40 mm.
Configurations and lengthsThe Avant is supplied as a single-bar configuration and in extended multi-support versions for larger spaces: 4 m and 5 m lengths with three supports for multiple users. Both wheeled and flat base options are available for multi-support configurations.
Assembly and componentsThe set comprises five elements: 2 bases, 2 uprights (columns) and 1 wooden beam. Assembly: attach the columns to the bases, position the wooden beam between uprights and secure with the fastening screws. Assembly procedure is the same for wheeled and flat bases. To move the barre without wheels, lift it (do not drag). To move the barre with wheels, tilt it 45° so the wheels contact the floor and roll the two-column unit together to avoid stress on the wooden beam.
