Foundation piles are used to bridge ground layers that cannot withstand the load enough or at all. The concrete piles are properly placed into the support layer until a ground or stone layer that can bear the load sufficiently is achieved. The bearing structure loads are then borne by the pile friction against the support layer on the one hand and the point pressure of the piles on the other hand. Foundation piles are used for a wide range of applications from simple halls to wind turbines.
