temperature sensor with NTC sensing element to be used in combination with Ekinex® KNX devices equipped with an analog input (or configurable as [AI]) to measure the temperature. The sensing element is inserted into a brass protective sleeve and is suitable for detecting the temperature of the conveying fluid without the need of insertion in the hydraulic circuit; for example by fixing in contact with a pipe or a heat exchange coil of a fancoil unit. The electrical connection with the Ekinex® KNX device is realized by the two-wire cable (length 1.5 m).
Sensing element: NTC (10 kΩ ±1% at 25°C, ß = 3435)
Operating temperature: −40°C...+100°C
The ekinex® sensors are used to measure the temperature of the room air mass or of the conveying fl uid in heating / cooling systems; in combination with the devices of
the ekinex® KNX range dedicated to the thermoregulation,
they allow to optimize the operation of the heating and cooling system of the building, increasing the thermal comfort
and exploiting all the energy saving opportunities.
All ekinex® sensors are of a passive type using a NTC
(Negative Temperature Coeffi cient) sensing element; the
sensing element resistance decreases with increasing
temperature. The sensors are available in four versions: for
outdoor installation, for immersion in piping in which conveying fl uid is fl owing, for contact installation (piping or heat
exchange coil in which conveying fl uid is fl owing) and air
mass measurement.
