This panel is to be used when the kitchen appliances have flame failure devices, therefore Gas proving is not a requirement. It acts as an interlock between the ventilation system and the gas solenoid valve. Features and Benefits Gas & Fan Interlocking The KGI-1200 provides interlocking of up to two fans and the gas solenoid valve Emergency Shut Off The unit is fitted with an emergency shut off cutting off the gas supply when activated. BMS Connections Connections are available to integrate with a Building Management System to make or break a circuit dependent on whether gas is on or off, (valve open or valve closed). This will tell the BMS whether the kitchen has use of the gas supply. Fire Alarm Integration The unit can be integrated with a fire alarm to close the gas supply automatically in the event of a signal from the fire alarm panel. Designed to BS6173 Appliances must be interlocked with any mechanical ventilation system that is fitted cutting off the gas supply or prevent the operation of appliances if the mechanical ventilation system provides an inadequate airflow rate for the safe operation of appliances and the safety of personnel.
