Design
Christophe Pillet applies a restrained, poetic approach focused on revealing beauty and emotion within the ordinary. FIRST STEPS expresses this idea in a stool whose sinuously rising metal frame forms a minimalist backrest while the seat and back are tightly hand-woven from paper cord or twisted paper rush cord, recalling the archetype of the chair.

Materials & finishes
The structure is painted metal with multiple finish options: burnished, glossy anthracite, matt titanium 710, white 100, or matte lacquered in sand 610, green 630, brick 620 and white 160. Finish Plus frame options: satin, chrome or black chrome. Seat and backrest are hand-woven from twisted paper rush cord or pure cellulose paper cord in natural 4002 or anthracite 4005. Feet rest on thermoplastic tips; metal tips available with transparent finish.

Variants & usage
The same design and materials are offered in a chair version. The refined appearance and compact proportions make FIRST STEPS suitable for bars, counters and a wide range of interior settings where craftsmanship and a discreet presence are sought.
