AboutPoul Kjærholm, trained as a cabinetmaker at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts, explored modern construction materials with a particular focus on steel. His collaboration with Ejvind Kold Christensen began in 1955 and continued throughout his life. After his passing, Fritz Hansen took over production and distribution of the Kjærholm Collection, making these designs available to architects and contract clients worldwide.
