The Tuareg Blue rug from our Nomad collection has a design based on native and traditional Indian textures and patterns. Both this pattern, and that of the other models that make up the collection, were discovered by the GAN team in different areas of the country during research to test how recycled PET fibers behaved on a manual loom. Its inclusion in this collection by its designer, Alejandra Gandía-Blasco Lloret, is a tribute that seeks to protect and value the legacy of the country's local crafts, with a more sustainable confection.
Made up of a series of very light rugs, poufs and cushions, with the different elements and models of the Nomad collection you can create multiple informal, relaxed and changing scenarios, as well as structure environments. Alejandra Gandía-Blasco Lloret took inspiration from the minimum of belongings with which nomadic peoples move, with which they manage to create ephemeral spaces capable of providing a sense of home and rest.
Alejandra Gandía-Blasco Lloret has delved into a design that would provide the most agile deployment and movement possible, seeking a double nomadism, both from one place to another and within the same space. The Nomad Tuareg Blue rug is very thin and light, so in a way, it is reminiscent of kilims. With its 70x70 cm flat pouf and matching 60x36 cm cushion, which can be stacked together, you can create compositions at different heights to lie down, lie down or sit.
The texture and pattern of the Nomad Tuareg Blue rug has an aesthetic reminiscent of the knitting work of wool sweaters or scarves, in beige and blue.
