Tent hall as weather protection DB Netz AG needed a hall for storing wooden sleepers within a very short period of time. This type of sleeper is an important niche product for Deutsche Bahn and is mainly used to maintain the infrastructure. A weather-protected storage facility had to be created for the treated wooden components. HALTEC was there quickly on the spot and implemented the desired protection against wind and weather with a simple BASIC tent hall. It only took one day of assembly to set up the tent on the company premises. DB Netz AG was able to store the first wooden sleepers in the new storage tent the very next day. BASIC tent with ballasting: ideal fastening method for floor-protecting hall construction The most important aspect, in addition to the quick availability, was the floor-protecting hall fastening. Already in advance to the purchase of the hall, the client‘s condition was that the new tent hall had to be installed without anchoring. HALTEC then delivered a hall with optimal and economical prerequisites – a BALLASTED STORAGE TENT. Instead of complex creating foundations in the ground, “the foundation” is so to say on the ground. With HALTEC substructure ballasting, the concrete elements are laid out on the subsoil and the hall is fastened to it with heavy-duty dowels.
