Summary
  • Passive Purple External is a fire-rated, waterproof, vapour-breathable liquid-applied membrane providing airtightness, weather protection and intelligent moisture management for internal and external facades.

Uses, substrates & compatibility
  • Suitable for timber frame, retrofit and new build façades.
  • Adheres to: concrete and brick walls; engineered timber panels / OSB; insulation boards and panels; fibre cement boards; and many other construction substrates.


Directions for use (summary)
  • Surface preparation: remove salt efflorescence, dust and loose materials; ensure no standing water; fill holes and joints with a fast-setting cement-based product or suitable foam prior to application.
  • Application conditions: substrate temperature above 5°C; application on humid surfaces permitted provided standing water is removed; do not add water or solvents; avoid application in direct full sunlight or during rain.
  • Application method: airless spray (recommended for large areas) or roller (for smaller areas and touch-ups). Always apply two coats; allow the first coat to dry fully before applying the second. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
