HiperColor is a synthetic binder developed to produce colorful asphalt.
Product Description
■ Asphalt surface is coated with colorful, UV-resistant dye. Even if dying the asphalt surface seems to be a good and practical solution, it is observed that the dye is peeled off, worn, cracked or discolored in the course of time.
■ Colorful asphalt is produced by adding pigment to asphalt mixture. Bitumen that is supplied from the refinery is black. Therefore, the color of the asphalt produced by adding pigment is always black.
■ Colorful asphalt is produced using transparent binder and pigment. To solve this problem, various transparent binders have been developed. However, it is required to colorize the transparent binders by adding pigment in the asphalt mixer. Even if it is called transparent, the color of these binders is actually dark honey.
Ferrous oxide or similar pigments consist of very fine micronized particles. It is very difficult to use powder pigment in the asphalt production site. During the production, the color of pigment is dispersed around.
■ By using HiperColor synthetic binder, colorful asphalt is produced. HiperColor was developed to overcome the difficulties experienced in the production of colorful asphalt.
Application
■ HiperColor is used instead of black refinery bitumen.
■ Aggregate that is suitable for the desired asphalt color should be used.
■ The amount of use is the same as Standard bitumen. It should be used in the same amount without changing the ratio of bitumen in the asphalt design.
■ Aggregate temperature should be 170-180°C.
■ HiperColor is added directly into the asphalt mixer.
