OverviewThe voyage through time of Siam continues into what was dubbed the kingdom’s Golden Era, a moment of cultural exchange and artistic redefinition after the fall of Ayutthaya. This fabrics group translates historical motifs, colors and textures into contemporary upholstery and drapery velvets suitable for interior architecture and decorative projects.
Design InspirationTemple roofs rise like flowing waves and ceilings bloom with radiant florals. Carved moldings, glazed tiles and weathered walls inform a palette of rich hues and tactile surfaces. From the ornate Chinese-influenced ornamentation of Wat Ratchaorasaram to the intimate Lanna murals at Wat Phumin, motifs derived from sanctuaries, ceramics and vernacular objects are reinterpreted as pattern, pile and finish in these velvets.
Creative Direction'With Oriental Odyssey II, we wanted to capture Siam as a place that is always in motion,' explains Creative Director Vichada Sitakalin. The collection extends the Spring 2026 line where pattern, texture and color bring historical references into contemporary interior use while respecting Jim Thompson's design DNA.
