OverviewThe voyage through time of Siam continues into the period often called the Golden Era, when the nation rebuilt its identity after the fall of Ayutthaya in the 18th century. This phase saw intense cultural exchange and the emergence of new decorative languages as influences from European and Chinese courts mingled with local traditions. The collection reinterprets these historical references into contemporary textiles suited to interiors and upholstery.
Inspiration & ImageryTemple roofs, carved moldings, glazed tiles and weathered walls inform a palette of vibrant colors and refined motifs. References range from the ornate ornamentation at Bangkok's Wat Ratchaorasaram to the intimate murals of Wat Phumin in Nan. Ceramics, vessels and collected objets d'art provide pattern and texture cues that translate into fabrics with depth and narrative quality.
Creative DirectionWith Oriental Odyssey II the Creative Director Vichada Sitakalin presents a continuation of the Spring 2026 collection, where pattern, texture and color bring historical Siamese motifs into a contemporary context while remaining aligned with Jim Thompson's design DNA.
