Marsalis is a collection designed by Christophe Pillet, consisting of armchair and armchair bed, sofa and sofa bed, in either three or two-seater versions, with combinable end units of several sizes. The clean and minimal aesthetics that characterize Marsalis perfectly hide the mechanism of the bed in the convertible version. Marsalis is the embodiment of both Milano Bedding’s long experience in the field of upholstery and their ability to create products that are an expression of Italian quality, representing the perfect combination of innovation and tradition. The Marsalis sofa and sofa bed are made with a leather surround frame and fabric seat and backrest or can be produced entirely in leather or in fabric. With their rigorous design, the 16 cm high metal feet in black nickel finish are a distinctive feature, designed to streamline and give the model lightness. The large seat cushions are made of high resilience polyurethane foam; the surround frame and the cushions have fully removable covers in both the fabric and leather versions. The additional decorative cushions are designed to reduce the depth of the seat or for use as side cushions. Simply by removing the seat cushions, Marsalis transforms into a bed with a slatted base and a 200 cm long and 10 cm thick mattress. The 109 cm depth of Marsalis has been designed to give an informal, welcoming and comfortable appeal.
