The form presents itself in a consciously minimalist manner. Its special attributes are revealed in the details: it is ergonomic, colourful, maintenance-free, and, if desired, also wheelchair-friendly. When it comes to public spaces, people often think of communality and togetherness. But sometimes, you want exactly the opposite: reading the paper by yourself, thinking by yourself or having a little snack by yourself – there should be space for this too. Our society is moving faster and faster, which means that we need calming places where people can take a deep breath, whether just to drink a coffee-to-go or send a quick WhatsApp message to a friend. Our Alien invites people to do exactly these things – things for which there isn´t any space anywhere else. Its lean, associative form is without a doubt the defining characteristic of this solo seat. Its bright colors underscore its unique nature and place accents in gray concrete landscapes. The surfaces are made of HPL sheets, which consist of FSC certified 70% cellulose and 30% melamine resins. Their surface is very weather-resistant and UV-stable. The metal parts are hot-dip galvanized and coated. All individual elements are connected with safety screws. All modules can be replaced in case of damage due to vandalism.
