Description
Beautiful in its simplicity
The non-perforated hand-moulded brick Rosso of Nelissen Brickworks is sanded on five sides and provided with an oblong sloping groove on one flat side (frog, group 1). The surface of the brick is red. The colour shades of this facing brick vary from red to dark-red. The more neutral, solid colour is obtained from the red baking Löss clay of Kesselt. The brick is revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel. The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under a slightly reducing atmosphere. This brick is characterized by a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. Rosso comes from the Passion range of Nelissen Brickworks.
