Yellow and Grey, perfectly together
The Gabriella is a hand-moulded facing brick of Nelissen Brickworks.
The surface of this brick is yellowish. The mainly yellow-grey colour shade results in an ecru-like effect, interspersed by light and dark grey effects. The Gabriella is made from Löss from Limburg, extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley. The brick is revalued with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel.
The non-perforated brick from the Grigio range is covered with sand at five sides and provided with an oblong sloping groove on one flat side. The structure of the Gabriella has a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under a slightly reducing atmosphere.
