Green wall with live plants VERTICAL ECOSYSTEM IN COLOMBIA

We present you one of the biggest challenges of the world when we talk about vertical ecosystems that was built in Medellín, Colombia. Because of its 92 meters high, a great effort in the logistics and execution was needed, due to the difficulty of working in such a high building to design its 288 m2. The difficulty on the selection of the species, because of the hash winds borne by the plants on the upper part of the Vegetal Facade, was a big challenge that was solved by the creation of a green wall composed of more than 15 species, many of them local. The vertical garden seeks to complement the envelope of the building, which stands out in the city due to its impressive size, thus creating an architectural complex that has become a milestone in the city of Medellín. Thanks to our partners and allies of Groncol SAS and to the Vertical Ecosystems’ patent developed by Paisajismo Urbano, we made the second highest Vertical Ecosystem in the world.
